​treibt er die digitale Transformation aktiv voran. Sein Ziel: den Papierhandel mit Paper Unicorn neu definieren – durch Effizienz, Nachhaltigkeit und exzellenten Kundenservice.

With his extensive experience in the paper industry and innovative spirit, he actively drives digital transformation. His goal: to redefine the paper business with Paper Unicorn – through efficiency, sustainability, and excellent customer service.

Jan-Hendrik Scharmann
​Bereichsleiter E-Commerce

Nach seinem Master-Abschluss in
Informationsmanagement / Informations-technologie war Jan-Hendrik über 13 Jahre als Projektmanager, Product Owner, Scrum Master und Teamleiter in verschiedenen E-Commerce Agenturen tätig.
Seit August 2024 ist er als Bereichsleiter bei der OVOL Papier Deutschland für sämtliche
E-Commerce Projekte zuständig und somit auch für Paper Unicorn und das - wie bei allem, was er tut - mit Herz und Seele.

After earning his master's degree in Information Management / Information Technology, Jan-Hendrik spent over 13 years working as a Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Team Lead in various e-commerce agencies.
Since August 2024, he has been the Head of E-Commerce at OVOL Papier Deutschland, overseeing all e-commerce projects, including Paper Unicorn – and, as with everything he does, he puts his heart and soul into it.

Katarina Perkovic
Business Process Owner

Katarina hat vor mehr als 10 Jahren ihre Berufsausbildung bei der damaligen Papyrus Deutschland GmbH absolviert und einen Bachelor in BWL Handel drangehängt.
​Seit 2020 betreut Katarina diverse Projekte mit IT Fokus und ist bei der OVOL die erste Anlaufstelle für Prozessoptimierungen sowie strategische Vertriebsprojekte, wie beispielsweise die digitale Transformation der OVOL Papier Deutschland GmbH. Für das Paper Unicorn Team stellt sie die Schnittstelle zwischen Business und IT dar und leitet erforderliche Veränderungen in die Wege. ​

Katarina completed her vocational training at what was then Papyrus Deutschland GmbH more than 10 years ago and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on trade.
Since 2020, she has been managing various IT-focused projects and serves as the primary contact at OVOL for process optimization and strategic sales projects, such as the digital transformation of OVOL Papier Deutschland GmbH. Within the Paper Unicorn team, she acts as the link between business and IT, initiating necessary changes.

Ralf Duong 
​Software Developer​

Ralf ist seit Herbst 2019 ein Teil des Paper Unicorn. Er begann als Praktikant, wurde Werkstudent und ist nun als Entwickler Vollzeit im Einsatz. Wir freuen uns, dass Ralf weiterhin ein Unicorn ist und sind uns jetzt schon sicher – Ralf wird in Zukunft sehr erfolgreich in der Softwareentwicklung sein! 

Ralf has been a part of Paper Unicorn since autumn 2019. He started as an intern, became a working student and is now a full-time developer. We are happy that Ralf continues to be a Unicorn and we are already sure - Ralf will be very successful in software development in the future! 

Jan Mankopf

Mit 20 Jahren Erfahrung aus den verschiedenen Bereichen der Software-Entwicklung gibt sich Jan nicht zufrieden. Nach Animation, 3D Design und anderen Tätigkeiten bei BBDO Interone, Pixelpark und weiteren, ist er nun beim Paper Unicorn gekommen um zu bleiben - worüber sich das ganze Team sehr freut!

​Jan is not satisfied with 20 years of experience in different areas of software development yet. After animation, 3D design and other activities at BBDO Interone, Pixelpark and others, he has now arrived at Paper Unicorn to stay - which makes the whole team very happy!​

Hubert Popiolek 
​Software Developer

Hubert studierte Philosophie und Slavische Philologie und brachte als Redakteur bei COMPUTER BILD 15 Jahre lang alles rund um Software für jedermann verständlich auf den Punkt. Seit Februar 2023 bereichert er Paper Unicorn mit seiner frischen Perspektive und erfüllt sich dabei den Kindheitstraum, hauptberuflich Software zu entwickeln.

Hubert studied philosophy and Slavic studies and, as an editor at COMPUTER BILD, spent 15 years making all things software accessible to everyone. Since February 2023, he has enriched Paper Unicorn with his fresh perspective, fulfilling his childhood dream of developing software full-time.
